I know of many saltwater aquariums but I'm much more interested in freshwater. Any zoos with impressive freshwater exhibits are just as good. Please and thank you.

I have a Freshwater fish tank with Bronze Cories, Bistlenose catfish, guppies and cherry red shrimps. Right now i have no gravel, but i want to add Black sand into my tank. What is the recommended brand and type of sand for a freshwater tank? if anyone has a site that i can buy the appropriate sand from is much appreciated.

I know a freshwater means no salt but I read somewhere that you're suppose to put some salt in. Is this true? If so is aquarium salt and just normal salt the same? I mean instead of using actual aquarium salt could you use regular salt? I know this sounds like a stupid question but I was just wondering.

I have always had a freshwater aquarium, so I am experienced plenty with them, but we are debating on getting a large saltwater aquarium. Are they harder to keep up? What about corals? Any information is appreciated.
