You should take the fish out and put them somewhere else for a while and clean the entire tank to kill the ants. See More

Has anyone ever used or own the biUbe or biOrb fish aquariums?
I would really like to buy the biUbe fish aquarium. It's very attractive and seems sturdy and space friendly. My main concern is the loudness of the pump. I don't want to buy another aquarium, and get it home and it sounds like a damned bulldozer. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.
I would never buy either of those. To me they are just really expensive bowls and if I'm going to spend that much money I would rather ... See More

Anyone know about special needs of discus fish aquariums?
I've been wanting to start a discus tank, but don't know too much about special requirements. Are they pretty hardy fish? How many can I put in a 55 gal. tank...and can I add them all at once, or only a couple at a time? Is reverse osmosis a requirement? I have a lot of experience with aquariums...but not discus. How do they compare to plain tropical fish and Oscars as far as hardiness? Can they handle variation in water parameters?

I've always seen them but there's never a label on the tank for them like there is for anything else. The tiny ones, maybe size of a quarter up to a half dollar. What are they called? Do they grow bigger or stay small? I'd like to get a couple for my betta's tank. I just think they're adorable. What do they eat? Would it be ok to put them in with my betta?

Metal Tube Aquarium Stands sturdy enough? Penn Plax?
I am upgrading to a 55 gallon. I am looking at this http://www.amazon.com/Aquarium-Metal-Deluxe-gallon-Aquarium-TS55/dp/B0002DIUVQ "Knock-down design for quick easy assembly" "Extremely sturdy and durable". Yeah sure. A knock down design to hold a 650+lb aquarium.. I have my doubts. So is there anyone out there with one of these who can say it is or isn't a good idea? I have seen some at local pet stores and they look like they aren't collapsible, made out of iron I think. Would those be any better? Also, how much do these add to the dimensions? An inch? 2?
