Aquarium Stands: Wooden or Metal?
I am thinking about buying a 55 gallon aquarium. However, I don't know which is better, wood or metal. I like metal because its strong, but i've heard is unstable. Also, I like wood but they cost a lot and not as strong as metal. Please Help

I think wood would be better.
wood will look nicer!
As long as you purchase the appropriate sized stand for your tank and you build it properly, either should be fine.

The metal stands are generally cheaper. And although the wooden stands are more expensive, the are nicer - the will probably match the decor of your house, the come with hidden storage for all of your fish stuff, and they may be cheaper in the long run (if you purchase a metal stand, have it for a few years, then decide that you hate it, you will have to go buy a new wooden stand anyway).

Personally, I have had both and I have been happiest with my wooden stands.
choose the wood thats what i got for my 2/ 10 gal tanks 7yrs ago and it still works and looks good and even has more fish.
