How to keep an aquarium from knocking over?
I have a 55 gallon aquarium on a metal stand, I also have two 65lb dogs that I don't want to knock over the tank when I leave! I'd like to know a way to secure the tank to the wall perhaps? Thanks
Thanks, didn't think of making a new stand. I'll probably do that and put a wood lip around the edge to make me not worry so much about the tank sliding off.

have u tried putting the dogs outside???, other then that put the tank on a bench until u can get/make a better stand.
I have a 55 gallon on a metal stand also. And i also have a lab and a huskie and 6 kids running thru the house all day, i took and went to tractor supply or a horse tack shop, some hardware stores have these them to, get a couple big eye hooks and screw them into the wall about a foot under the tank in the back and take a good strong rope and tie it to the stand and put it thru the eye hook. I did this and i have had mine set up for over a yr now and they havent knooked it over yet. hope i helped.
I too would put the dogs in another room or outside whilst your not in.
You have to choose the dogs or the fish, jk, my suggestion is to buy one of those puppy fences from petsmart for like $10 and just put it around the tank it should suffice
